Kenneth Lee Smith Jr.
Christmas Day, 1985
Piano, Acoustic Guitar, Vocals

WHAT IS YOUR RIG SET UP: Yamaha Motif EF 8 and Guild 70’s Model D Series

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PLAYING: Since I was 15

WHAT MADE YOU PICK UP MUSIC: Me and Lindsey grew up immersed in music as our Dad was the music director at our church and a musician/music lover himself. I also played alto sax in band and sang in the Chorus all through school. I don’t think I ever really remember ‘picking it up’ as much as it has always been a part of my life.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF BEING IN A BAND: Doing something that me and only 4 other people in this world can do.

WHAT’S THE CRAZIEST THING THAT’S HAPPENED IN THE BAND THUS FAR: So many things…We were driving back to Atlanta from Asheville after a show at 2am. I was already delirious and we had a 4 hour drive ahead of us. Coming down from the mountain there was road work everywhere and the lanes were constantly switching. I was driving our little truck with the trailer attached. Lindsey was riding with me and the boys were in the car behind us. It rained so hard that I was driving 15 mph for about an hour, not to mention our defroster didn’t work so we had a foggy windshield and we had the windows rolled down to try to keep the windows defrosted. By the time we had reached a gas station, once we got out of the mountains, me and Lindsey were soaked. We then had a fun drive on the freeway for the next 2 hours where I was so brain fried and tired I was seeing the lanes come off the road. There were probably 3 times where I felt like we were all about to die.
